It has been our honor to serve and protect the residents and businesses of the Borough of Rutherford. Our financial responsibilities to the New Jersey State P.B.A and other related expenses are self-supported by our membership dues; however we rely on our community’s generosity to fund community activities. Rutherford P.B.A. Local # 300 has sponsored in the past: Little League baseball teams, Babe-Ruth teams, D.A.R.E. programs, Safe-Night Out, Jr. Police Academy, Annual $1,000.00 High School Senior Scholarship, bicycle awareness for children, Project Graduation for high school seniors, donated over $1000 to the NJ Special Olympics Torch Run, as well as other charitable organizations. We also support fellow officers and families that are sick or have fallen on hard times. We thank you for you’re past support and generosity.
The money raised from last year’s outing helped fund two parties for the “Exceptional Individuals Program” of Rutherford. The first party was a Holiday Party at the Rutherford Elks Club. Members and their families were treated to an evening of entertainment including games, music, dinner, dessert and gifts. As always the evening is capped off by a visit from Santa Claus. The second party was a bowling party with prizes for the members. Both of the parties would not have been possible without your generous support!
